Hands of Hope Charity

Local Charity Calls For Volunteers To Help With Leaflet Distribution

Do you have a few hours to spare to help distribute leaflets in your parish for this great cause?

Hands of Hope, (the charity using growing and cooking healthy, nutritious food to tackle childhood obesity and loneliness) is asking the community to turn their preloved into reloved to help them raise funds by auction.

But to get the message out they need volunteers who could help with the distribution of leaflets to the community. Could this be you?

With Childhood Obesity and Loneliness being two of the biggest challenges in the 21st Century, the organisation will tackle these through developing their scheme at their newly acquired site in Hawkhurst, making it a place to grow, learn, meet and enjoy.

But first they need to raise more funds and are asking for contributions of surplus items which will then be auctioned from Rye Auction Rooms and on Ebay. These could be coins, rugs, antiques, books, furniture, vintage clothes, glassware…well virtually anything of value…these could be turned into cash to benefit the community.

Please contact the team on the links below if you could help their mail drop, and you can also find out about longer term positions too if this interests you. There are plenty of varied roles available, from Community Ambassadors, cooking, growing, fundraising and so much more; there is something for just about everyone!
