Play Benenden: A New Play Area for Benenden

The Harmsworth Trust is looking to replace the play equipment currently located near the village hall with a new slightly relocated play area. We want the children and youth of Benenden to have the freedom and space to play in a well designed play area.

To help us provide the most suitable equipment, we want to find out from our community what they would like to see in the new play area. What play equipment is important to you? What do your children love to play on? What style would you prefer?

You can share your views with us in a number of ways:

New Play Area

Following planning permission being granted for the extension of the village hall car park, the children's play area is to be moved further along the field.  As the current equipment is rather dated, the Harmsworth Memorial Trust is looking to replace this equipment and is keen to hear of suggestions for what equipment it should be replaced with.  Please send your comments to nicolat@benendenparishcouncil.org.  This type of equipment is expensive and therefore it is crucial that the right combination of new equipment is chosen.

Rail commuters - have your say

To all rail commuters in Maidstone & the Weald

I have been holding regular meetings with South Eastern Trains and Network Rail for the last five years in order to lobby them for improvements, provide constructive feedback on customer experiences and to hold the company to account for service complaints.
