ROAD CLOSURES

Heartenoak Road, Hawkhurst - 16th September

It will be necessary to close Heartenoak Road, Hawkhurst from 16th September 2024 for up to 12 days.

The road will be closed by Manton Crescent.

The alternative route is via Heartenoak Road, A229 Cranbrook Road, Ockley Road, Heartenoak Road, and vice versa.

This is to enable to clear a blockage to be carried out by Southern Water.

The Street, Cranbrook - 19th September

It will be necessary to close The Street, Cranbrook from 19th September for up to 7 days.

The road will be closed at the junction of Common Road.

The alternative route is via A262 Sissinghurst Road, A229 Angley Road, A229 Hartley Road, B2086 Swattenden Lane, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Cranbrook Road, A28 Tenterden Road, A28 Rolvenden Hill, A28 Rolvenden Road, A28 High Street, A28 Ashford Road, A262 Biddenden Road, A262 Tenterden Road, A262 Sissinghurst Road, and vice versa.

This is to enable underground cabling works, to be carried out by UK Power Networks.

Cranbrook Road, Hawkhurst - 24th September

It will be necessary to close Cranbrook Road, Hawkhurst from 24th September for up to 2 nights.

The road will be closed at the junctions of between Water Lane and Crossroads.

The alternative route is via High Street, Slip Mill Lane, Hawkhurst Road, London Road, Hastings Road, A21 from J A268/B2087 to start of Dualling North of Flimwell, A21 from J B2079 to end of Dualling East of Stonecrouch N, A21 from end of Dualling East of Stonecrouch to J B2169 Roundabout, A21 J B2169 Roundabout, Lamberhurst By-pass, A21 from J B2169 Roundabout to J A262/B2162 Roundabout N, A21 J A262/B2162 Roundabout, Horsmonden Road, Goudhurst Road, Spelmonden Road, Station Road, Clayhill, West Road, The Plain, Church Road, Cranbrook Road, Wilsley Pound, Wilsley Green, Waterloo Road, Angley Road, Wheatfield Way, Hartley Road, Gills Green.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 20:00 hrs and 05:00 hrs each night.

This is to enable urgent carriageway patching to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Glassenbury Road, Cranbrook - 24th September 

It will be necessary to close Glassenbury Road from 24th September for up to 2 days.

The whole length of the road will be closed, but access will be maintained for residents when it is safe to do so.

The alternative route is via A229 Hartley Road, Angley Road, Wilsley Pound, A262 Goudhurst Road.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 07:00 hrs and 19:00 hrs each day.

This is to enable urgent carriageway patching to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Cranbrook Road, Benenden - 27th September

It will be necessary to close Cranbrook Road, Benenden from 27th September  for up to 6 days.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property, named Somers.

The alternative route is via Mounts Hill B2086, Hartley Road A229, Hawkhurst Road A229, Rye Road A268, Queen Street A268, Hasting Road A28, High Street A28, Benenden Road B2086, and vice versa.

This is to enable water maintenance repairs to be carried out by South East Water.

Common Road, Cranbrook - 28th September

It will be necessary to close Common Road, Cranbrook from 28th September for up to 1 day.

The road will be closed in its entirety.

The alternative route is via A262 The Street, A262 Sissinghurst Road, A229 Wilsley Pound, A229 The Common, Common Road and vice versa.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 08:00hrs and 19:00hrs.

This is to enable essential road marking refresh to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Dingleden - 30th September

Due to works planned to be undertaken by South East Water, it will be necessary to close part of Dingleden from 30th September with estimated completion by 2nd October.

Dingleden will be closed outside Cattsford Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dingleden, Dingleden Farm Road, Woodcock Lane, Standen Street, Crouch Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow new water connection works to be carried out, works are undertaken by South East Water.

Conghurst Lane, Hawkhurst - 2nd October

It will be necessary to close Conghurst Lane, Hawkhurst from 2nd October for up to 2 days.

The whole length of the road will be closed, but access will be maintained for residents when it is safe to do so.

The alternative route is via Hastings Road, The Moor, Moor Hill, Highgate Hill, Rye Road.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 07:00 hrs and 19:00 hrs each day.

This is to enable urgent carriageway patching to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Slip Mill Lane 4th October

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to close part of Slip Mill Lane on 4th October.

Slip Mill Lane will be closed from the junction of Sopers Lane to Lynton, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Slip Mill Lane, A268 High Street, Slip Mill Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow pole replacement works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Openreach.

Bettenham Lane, Biddenden - 9th October

It will be necessary to close Bettenham Lane, Biddenden from 9th October for up to 2 days.

The road will be closed between Dig Dog Lane – Hareplain Road.

The alternative route is via Bettenham Lane, Dig Dog Lane, Hareplain Road.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 07:00 hrs and 17:00 hrs each day.

This is to enable urgent carriageway repairs to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Folly Hill, Cranbrook - 10th October 

It will be necessary to close Folly Hill, Cranbrook from 10th October for up to 1 day.

The road will be closed outside Bounds End Farm.

The alternative route is via Goudhurst Road, Pinnock Lane, Cranbrook Road, Knoxbridge, Rocks Hill, Camden Hill, The Common, Common Road, Wilsley Pound, Marden Road, Colliers Green Road.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 07:00 hrs and 19:00 hrs.

This is to enable urgent carriageway patching to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Walkhurst Road, Benenden - 4th November

Due to works planned to be undertaken by South East Water, it will be necessary to close part of Walkhurst Road, Benenden, from 4th November with estimated completion by 7th November .

Walkhurst Road, Benenden, will be closed outside Tamarama. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Walkhurst Road, B2086 The Street, New Pond Road, Goddards Green Road, Walkhurst Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow new water connection works to be carried out, works are undertaken by South East Water.
