Woodcock Lane, Benenden - 24th March

It will be necessary to close Woodcock Lane, Benenden from 24th March 2025 for up to 2 days.

The whole length of the road will be closed, but access will be maintained for residents when it is safe to do so.

The alternative route is via Dingleden, Rolvenden Road, The Street, Iden Green Road, Standen Street.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 07:00 hrs and 19:00 hrs each day.

This is to enable urgent carriageway patching to be carried out by Kent County Council.

The Street, Frittenden - 17th February to 24th March

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to close part of The Street, Frittenden, from 17th February with estimated completion by 24th March.

The Street, Frittenden, will be closed outside Parsonage Farm Cottage, between the hours of 08:00 to 18:00 only on Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 only on Saturdays and 09:00 to 17:00 on Sunday only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Cranbrook Road, Frittenden Road, Common Road, A262 The Street, A262 Biddenden Road, A262 Sissinghurst Road, Hareplain Road, Buckhurst Lane, Biddenden Road, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow highway improvement works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Kent County Council.

A229 Cranbrook Road, Hawkhurst - 31st March 2025

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to close part of A229 Cranbrook Road, Hawkhurst, from 31st March 2025 with estimated completion by 6th May 2025.

A229 Cranbrook Road, Hawkhurst, will be closed outside Hill Crest. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A229 Cranbrook Road, A229 Gills Green, A229 Hawkhurst Road, A229 Hartley Road, A229 Angley Road, A229 Wisley Green, A229 Wilsley Pound, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Cranbrook Road, A262 Church Road, A262 High Street, A262 The Plain, A262 West Road, A262 Clayhill, A262 Station Road, A262 Spelmonden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Horsmonden Road, A21 Forstal Farm Roundabout, A21 Lamberhurst Bypass, A21 Scotney Castle Roundabout, A21 Hastings Road, A21 London Road, A268 Hawkhurst Road, A268 High Street, A229 Rye Road, A229 Cranbrook Road and vice versa.

Standen Street, Iden Green - 31st March 2025

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to close part of Standen Street, Iden Green, from 31st March 2025 with estimated completion by 17th April 2025.

Standen Street, Iden Green, will be closed outside Vyvyan Cottages, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:30 on Monday to Friday and between 08:00 and 16:00 on Saturdays only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Standen Street, Woodcock Lane, Dingleden, B2086 Rolvenden Road, B2086 The Street, Iden Green Road, Standen Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow sewer connection works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Kent County Council.

Stepneyford LaneBenenden - 4th April

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to close part of Stepneyford Lane, Benenden, from 4th April 2025 with estimated completion by 7th April 2025.

Stepneyford Lane, Benenden, will be closed south of Stepneyford Bridge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stepneyford Lane, Green Lane, Goddards Green Road, New Pond Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Rolvenden Road, Stepneyford Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow pole replacement works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Openreach.

Due to works planned to be undertaken by UK Power Networks, it will be necessary to close part of Golford Road, Cranbrook, from 15th April with estimated completion by 15th April.

Golford Road, Cranbrook, will be closed outside Bakers Barn. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Golford Road, Bakers Cross, The Hill, St Davids Bridge, Waterloo Road, A229 Wilsley Green, A229 Wilsley Pound, A262 Sissinghurst Road, A262 The Street, Chapel Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow electric works to be carried out, works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
