ROAD CLOSURES

Coldharbour Road - 10th November

It will be necessary to close Coldharbour Road from 10th November for up to 1 day.

The whole length of the road will be closed. But access will be maintained for residents when it is safe to do so.

The alternative route is via Iden Green Road, Cranbrook Road, Babbs Lane, Spring Lane, Coldharbour Road, and vice versa.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 07:00 hrs and 19:00 hrs.

This is to enable urgent carriageway patching works, to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Mill Lane, Cranbrook - 15th November

It will be necessary to close Mill Lane from 15th November for up to 2 days.

The road will be closed at Mill Lane.

The alternative route is via Staplehurst Road, Headcorn Road, Mill Lane, and vice versa.

This is to enable urgent carriageway works to be carried out by Kent County Council.

A229 Hartley Road & A229 Angley Road, Cranbrook – 16th November for2 nights between 21.00hrs and 05.00hrs 

The roads will be closed between Orchard Way and The High Street.

The alternative route is via A229 Angley Road/Wilsley Green/Wilsley Pound, A262 Goudhurst Road, B2085 Glassenbury Road, A229 Hartley Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while works due to a new development are undertaken by KSG Construction Limited.

Iden Green Road, Standen Street, Woodcock Lane- 17th November

Due to works planned to be undertaken by UK Power Networks, It will be necessary to close various roads on from 13th November, with estimated completion by 1st December

Iden Green Road

Iden Green Road will be closed from 13th November, with estimated completion by 17th November

The road will be closed from outside Beech Cottage to the junction with Mill Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Iden Green Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Rolvenden Road, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Regent Street, A28 High Street, A28 Hastings Road, A268 Rye Road, A268 Queen Street, Sponden Lane, Mill Street, Iden Green Road and vice versa.

Standen Street

Standen Street will be closed from 20th November, with estimated completion by 24th November

The road will be closed from the junctions with Iden Green Road, Mill Street and Coldharbour Road to the junction with Woodcock Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Iden Green Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Rolvenden Road, Ramsden Lane, Woodcock Lane, Iden Green Road and vice versa.

Woodcock Lane

Woodcock Lane will be closed from 27th November, with estimated completion by 1st December

The road will be closed at the junction with Standen Street to outside The Woodcock Pub, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Woodcock Lane, Iden Green Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Rolvenden Road, Ramsden Lane, Woodcock Lane and vice versa.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while electrical connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

Golford Road - 27th November

Due to works planned to be undertaken by South East Water,It will be necessary to close part of Golford Road from 27th November, with estimated completion by 29th November

Golford Road will be closed at the junction with Golford Road to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is Tenterden Road, Cranbrook Road, Benenden Road, Goddards Green Road, Golford Road and vice versa.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while installation works are undertaken by South East Water.

Water LaneCranbrook - 29th November

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, It will be necessary to close part of Water Lane, Cranbrook from 29th November 2023 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.

Water Lane will be closed from outside Cover Cottage to the entrance of Tilden Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Water Lane, A229 Hawkhurst Road, A229 Gills Green, A229 Cranbrook Road, A268 Rye Road, Water Lane and vice versa.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.

Rolvenden Road - 4th December

Due to works planned to be undertaken by UK Power Networks,It will be necessary to close part of Rolvenden Road from 4th December with estimated completion by 8th December

Rolvenden Road will be closed in the general vicinity of Beacon Hall House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2068 Rolvenden Road, B2068 The Street, B2068 Benenden Road, B2068 Mounts Hill, B2068 Cranbrook Road, B2068 Swattenden Lane, A229 Hartley Road, A229 Angley Road, The Street, A262 Sissinghurst Road, A262 High Street, A262 Tenterden Road, A262 Biddenden Road, A28 Ashford Road, A28 Silver Hill, A28 Ashford Road, A28 High Street, A28 West Cross, A28 Rolvenden Road, A28 Rolvenden Hill, A28 Tenterden Road, B20268 Regent Street, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Rolvenden Road and vice versa.

Green LaneCranbrook - 6th December

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, It will be necessary to close part of Green Lane, Cranbrook from 6th December for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.

Green Lane, Cranbrook will be closed 240 metres south of the junction with Jacksons Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is Green Lane, Goddards Green Road, Frogs Hole Lane, Halden Lane, Green Lane and vice versa.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

Sponden LaneSandhurst – 6th December

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach,It will be necessary to close part of Sponden Lane, Sandhurst from 6th December for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.

Sponden Lane will be closed from the junction with A268 Megrims Hill for 915 metres northbound, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is Sponden Lane, A268 Megrims Hill, Sponden Lane and vice versa.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead network works are undertaken by Openreach.

Nineveh Lane - 6th December

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, It will be necessary to close part of Nineveh Lane from 6th December for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.

Nineveh Lane will be closed 120 metres west of the junction with Spring Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Nineveh Lane, Attwaters Lane, Water Lane, A229 Hawkhurst Road, B2086 Swattenden Lane, B2086 Cranbrook Road, Babbs Lane, Nineveh Lane and vice versa.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to close part of Standen Street from 6th December for up to 2 days between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.

Standen Street will be closed 70 metres south of the junction with Mill Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Standen Street, Woodcock Lane, Dingleden, B2086 Rolvenden Road, B2086 The Street, Iden Green Road, Standen Street and vice versa.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
