Bishopsden RoadBiddenden - 7th January 2025

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to close part of Bishopsden Road, Biddenden, from 7th January with estimated completion by 7th January.

Bishopsden Road, Biddenden, will be closed outside Bishopsden Bungalow, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bishopsden Road, Lucks Lane, Tenterden Road, Benenden Road, Goddards Green Road, Frogs Hole Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow pole testing works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Openreach.

Crouch Lane, Sandhurst - 8th January

It will be necessary to close Crouch Lane, Sandhurst from 8th January for up to 7 days.

The road will be closed at Crouch Lane.

The alternative route is via Crouch Lane, Hopehouse Lane, Sandhurst Road, Alder Lane, Hastings Road A28, Rye Road A268, Stone Pitt Lane, Hopehouse Lane, and reversed.

This is to enable water maintenance repairs to be carried out by South East Water.

London Lane, Cranbrook - 9th January

It will be necessary to close London Lane, Cranbrook from 9th January for up to 1 day.

The whole length of the road will be closed, but access will be maintained for residents when it is safe to do so.

The alternative route is via London Lane, Frittenden Road, Common Road, A229 The Common.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 07:00 hrs and 19:00 hrs.

This is to enable urgent carriageway patching to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Nineveh Lane, Benenden - 13th January

Due to works planned to be undertaken by South East Water, it will be necessary to close part of Nineveh Lane, Benenden, from 13th January with estimated completion by 17th January .

Nineveh Lane will be closed outside the entrance to Nineveh House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Attwaters Lane, Water Lane, A229 Hawkhurst Road, A229 Hartley Road, B2086 Swattenden Lane, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Cranbrook Road, Babbs Lane, Spring Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow water works to be carried out, works are undertaken by South East Water.

Ramsden Lane - 13th January

It will be necessary to close Ramsden Lane from 13th January for up to 3 days.

The road will be closed from the junction of Benenden Road to Woodcock Lane.

The alternative route is via Dingleden Farm Road, Dingleden, Sandhurst Lane, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Rolvenden Road.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 07:00 hrs and 19:00 hrs each day.

This is to enable urgent carriageway patching to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Delmonden Lane, Hawkhurst - 17th January

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to close part of Delmonden Lane from 17th January with estimated completion by 17th January.

Delmonden Lane, Hawkhurst, will be closed from Ditchells Farmhouse to Cherry Trees, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Delmonden Lane, A229 Horns Road, A229 The Moor, A229 Moor Hill, A229 Highgate Hill, A268 High Street, Delmonden Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Openreach.

Walkhurst Road, Benenden - 27th January

Due to works planned to be undertaken by SGN, it will be necessary to close part of Walkhurst Road from 27th January with estimated completion by 4th February.

Walkhurst Road, Benenden, will be closed between Tamarama and Brick Kiln. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Walkhurst Road, Goddards Green Road, New Pond Road, B2086 The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow new gas connection works to be carried out, works are undertaken by SGN.

Temporary Speed Restriction - Mill Street, Iden Green - 28th January

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to restrict part of Mill Street, Iden Green, from 28th January with estimated completion by 28th January .

Mill Street will be restricted to 40mph from Rose Briar to Quinces, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce, to allow pole testing works to be carried out a 40mph speed limit will be imposed, works are undertaken by Openreach.

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to close part of Biddenden Road, Frittenden, from 5th February with estimated completion by 5th February.

Biddenden Road, Frittenden, will be closed outside Redrays. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Biddenden Road, Buckhurst Lane, Hareplain Road, A262 Sissinghurst Road, A262 Biddenden Road, A262 The Street, Common Road, Frittenden Road, Cranbrook Road, The Street, Biddenden Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow new gateway installation works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
